Cascade and North Western Railroad

Mapping Department

The mapping of the Columbia Division of the C&NW is an ongoing process that attempts to precede the progress of work order development from our Western terminus in Ada eastward to the Eastern terminus at Nuggett. As they become available maps will be added for your use.

To view the complete image of the C&NW you will need to scroll to the right. This was the only way to provide you with an overall view of the C&NW and still provide minimal detail. The map does not depict completely accurate detail due to the scale involved.

The red dots represent passenger platforms, commuter rail stops and flagstops. Each one is named as it would appear in MSTS.

Numbers have been placed to indicate map pages that have been completed. There are hot spots that cover the map areas detailed within a certain map page. Move your mouse near one of the numbers and a small window will open with the map page number and a complete description of the industries and yards contained within the map.

If you would like a printout of a page place your mouse cursor in the hot area near the number. When it changes from the arrow pointer to the hand pointer click the left mouse button and an Adobe Acrobat pdf file will open. From there you may either save the pdf file or print it directly. As more maps are completed new hot spots and map page numbers will be added to the main route map.

A closeup of the Ada area is shown below. You can see the red dots indicating passenger services along with the name. Our interchnage partner, the BNSF, is clearly identified. The map page numbers shown, 2a, 2b & 3, are the hot spots that you would click to download the pdf file. The pdf file is also viewable with your web browser so that you can make sure that you have selected the correct map. If you need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader please go to the Adobe web site to download the latest version. It is a free download.
